Getting Fit With Your Favorite Sport

Thank goodness, staying fit no longer means an hour on the thread mill before work and an hour at the gym afterwards. As a matter of fact many fitness experts are seeing people turn tho the courts for getting fit instead of the gym and it is something that they support.

There are a number of things that may come to  mind readily when you think of fitness. You may think about a gym, a thread mill, a flex belt, a game of football, basketball or tennis but you  may not think about skateboarding.

Skateboarding is an excellent, fun and unique way to stay fit and young at heart. Skateboarding enhances cardiovascular conditioning by the way in which you exert yourself when performing the activity even when you are not trying to do tricks. You have to push yourself around and that is how that works. To increase the amount of cardiovascular conditioning you can try to do your skateboarding uphill.

Tricks can add a lot more to the routine of course as you will need to do activities such as squatting and jumping which up your physical activity levels and get your heart pumping even more. These also help to improve your flexibility which will make you better at skateboarding over time.
